I’m proud (and excited!) to officially launch Trading Places — a recruitment studio dedicated to connecting talent with trading roles across the globe.

This isn’t just a business venture. It’s personal.

After 10+ years in marketing and business development, I shifted into executive search — first in Switzerland, where I spent three years recruiting for trading houses, and more recently in Dubai, where I deepened my understanding of the region’s dynamic talent needs.

But really, this journey started much earlier.

I come from a family of négociants in West Africa, Sénégal (Casamance). My grandfathers built a life and legacy around trade — cashews, groundnuts, products that crossed borders long before supply chains went digital, long before the internet or logistics platforms existed. Commerce was not just business, it was connection, trust, timing, and instinct. I grew up with that mindset. Trade, for us, wasn’t just economics. It was a way of life. It meant relationships, trust, hustle, and vision. That spirit shaped me.

Trading Places is the meeting point of all those experiences — my background in business, my years in recruitment, and my deep respect for the global world of trade.
